State Mineral and Energy Board announces results of May Lease Sale
Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.
The Board collected $142,411 in bonus revenue for the May lease sale. The current 2018-2019 total bonus payment is approximately $13.9 million. At this month’s lease sale, there were 8 leases covering 186 acres. The leases were located in DeSoto, Lafourche, Natchitoches, Red River and Terrebonne parishes.
The total bonus payments to the state for the previous fiscal year, 2017-2018, amounted to $4.6 million.
