State Mineral and Energy Board announces results of September Lease Sale
Baton Rouge - The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2026 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.
The Board collected $251,675 in bonus revenue for the September lease sale. The current 2026-2027 total bonus payment is approximately $775,297. At this month’s lease sale, there were 19 leases covering 4,931 acres sold. The leases were located in Caddo, Plaquemines, St. Charles and Vermilion parishes.
The total bonus payments to the state for the previous fiscal year, 2025-2026, amounted to $4.3 million.
