Legislators and members of the public routinely approach C&E for information or clarification on subject matters directly within its authority – such as orphaned wells, groundwater management or Class VI injection – or issues that are outside, but closely associated with, C&E’s jurisdiction. C&E staff have researched a number of those subjects the agency receives the most questions and feedback on in order to provide concise briefing sheets to ensure that lawmakers and the public have ready access to factual information provided in a straightforward manner.
