STATE ENERGY FACTS BOOKLET AVAILABLE AT DNR
A booklet prepared by the state Department of Natural Resources’ Technology Assessment division featuring Louisiana’s oil and gas production data, tax revenue information, energy consumption statistics, and other energy topics is now available to the public. The publication, Louisiana Energy Facts Annual (1998), covers all previous year energy statistics and latest information collected by the division.
The annual publication provides a comprehensive compendium of Louisiana related energy production and use data as well as information related to department programs aimed at reducing wastes, decreasing energy costs, and increasing energy efficiency. It also tracks industry and consumer trends in the state.
Copies of the publication have already been mailed to subscribers but additional copies are distributed by request. There is no charge for the publication.
Contact the Technology Assessment division, John Harter at 225-342-4593 for copy requests and further details about the Energy Facts Annual. Internet users will be able to access the document from the DNR website at www.dnr.state.us in two to three weeks.
