State Mineral and Energy Board announces results of October Lease Sale
Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale on Wednesday, October 14, 2026 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.
The Board collected $134,307 in bonus revenue for the October lease sale. The current 2026-2027 total bonus payment is approximately $918,952. At this month’s lease sale, there were nine leases covering 355 acres sold. The leases were located in Caddo, Jefferson, Lafourche and Vernon parishes.
The total bonus payments to the state for the previous fiscal year, 2025-2026, amounted to $4.3 million.
