Mineral and Energy Board posts Lease Sale Results for April
Baton Rouge -- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale Wednesday, April 11, 2018 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.
The Board collected $229,550 in bonus revenue for the April lease sale. The current FY 2017-18 total bonus payment amount is $3.3 million. At this month’s lease sale, there were five leases covering 2,091 acres. The leases were located in Bossier, Caddo, Lafourche, Plaquemines, and St. Mary parishes.
According to the Board, the ending FY 2016-17 amount of bonus revenue was $1.9 million.
