LaHouse Groundbreaking in July 2003

LA Department of Natural Resources Secretary Jack Caldwell was honored at a groundbreaking ceremony held this July by the Louisiana State University AgCenter for the construction of theLouisiana House. Located on the LSU-Baton Rouge campus near the Golf Course will be the new Louisiana House: A Home and Landscape Resource Center, promoted as a model for energy-efficient, resource-conservative, technology-savvy design for housing. Secretary Caldwell played a lead role in funding the LaHouse (also to be called) project by approving several grants and contracts administered through the United States Department of Energy.
