La. Mineral and Energy Board holds July Lease Sale
The State Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale Wednesday, July 10th in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge. The Board collected over $700,580 in bonuses in the July lease sale, which is the first in the new Fiscal Year 2013-2014.
At this month’s lease sale, the Board awarded 14 leases covering 1,785 acres, out of 84 nominated tracts covering more than 133,854 acres.
The Board sold leases in Beauregard, Caddo, Cameron, Catahoula, Concordia, Plaquemines, St. Mary, and Terrebonne parishes.
