State Mineral and Energy Board announces results of March Lease Sale

Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.

The Board collected $105,000 in bonus revenue for the March lease sale. The current 2025-2026 total bonus payment is approximately $2.35 million. At this month’s lease sale, there was one lease covering 60 acres sold. The leases were located in Bienville Parish. 

The total bonus payments to the state for the previous fiscal year, 2024-2025, amounted to $7.7 million.
