Mineral lease holders can report damage due to flooding
"Force Majeure" PolicyThe state Department of Natural Resources’ Office of Mineral Resources has notified operators and lease holders in the areas of flooding to report damages and shut-ins within 90 days of the event.

The state Mineral and Energy Board has a Force Majeure policy adopted in 2005, regarding actions to be taken due to damage to leases during a natural disaster.
