MINERAL BOARD RELEASES FEBRUARY FIGURES
The State Mineral Board conducted a Lease Sale February 14, 2001, at 10 a.m. in the Mineral Board Hearing Room located in the State Land and Natural Resources Building in Baton Rouge. Below are the preliminary results of the Lease Sale and 2000-2001 Fiscal Year totals.
According to Mineral Board Secretary Gus Rodemacher, this month's lease sale results of $3.3 million show three consecutive months of lease sales surpassing $3 million. Additionally, with four months still remaining in this fiscal year calendar, the FY 2000-01 total of $19,639,973 has now surpassed last year's FY 1999-00 total of $18,081,282, Rodemacher noted.
