Mineral and Energy Board posts results of August Lease Sale

Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale Wednesday, August 9, 2017 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.
The Board collected $214,435 in bonus revenue for the August lease sale. The current FY 2017-18 total bonus payment amount is $1.9 million. At this month’s lease sale, there were seven leases covering 1,089 acres. The leases were located in Avoyelles, Plaquemines, Red River, St. Bernard, Union and Vermilion parishes.
According to the Board, the ending FY 2016-17 amount of bonus revenue was $1.9 million.
