Mineral and Energy Board Lease Sale brings over $2.6 million in June
BATON ROUGE- The State Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale Wednesday, June 12th in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge. The Board collected over $2.6 million in bonuses in the June lease sale, bringing the new Fiscal Year ‘12-13, total collected to over $18.3 million.
At this month’s lease sale, the Board awarded 33 leases covering 4,380 acres, out of 80 nominated tracts covering more than 53,637 acres.
The Board sold leases in Beauregard, Caddo, Calcasieu, Cameron, Grant, Lafourche, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, Terrebonne, Union, and Vernon parishes.
