Mineral and Energy Board holds December lease sale
The La. Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale Wednesday, December 11th in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.
The Board collected over $770,570 in bonus revenue for the state in the December lease sale, bringing the Fiscal Year 2013-14 total collected to over $12 million.
At this month’s lease sale, the Board awarded 26 leases covering 2,624 acres, out of 49 nominated tracts covering more than 15,434 acres.
The Board sold leases in Lafourche, St. Landry, St. Mary and Union parishes.
