Mineral and Energy Board announces results of September Lease Sale
Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale Wednesday, September 13, 2017 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.
The Board collected $140,105 in bonus revenue for the September lease sale. The current FY 2017-18 total bonus payment amount is $2 million. At this month’s lease sale, there were five leases covering 2,845 acres. The leases were located in Acadia, DeSoto, Jefferson, Pointe Coupee, Terrebonne and Union parishes.
According to the Board, the ending FY 2016-17 amount of bonus revenue was $1.9 million.
