DNR Exhibits at Earth Day 2004

The theme “One Environment, No Borders” sets the stage for celebrating the earth at this year’s Baton Rouge Earth Day, held in downtown Baton Rouge on North Blvd. on Sunday, April 18th. Activities will begin at 12 noon and continue until 8:30 p.m.

The Louisiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will participate with exhibits, informational materials and specialty items. Admission is free to the festival along with music, food, and interactive educational opportunities for all.

A “Wetlands Tent” will be featured between 4th and 5th Streets and DNR exhibitors will include:

Baton Rouge Earth Day is organized by a community coalition of environmentalists, educators, businesses, government agencies and committed individuals. DNR Secretary Scott Angelle encourages agency participation in community outreach activities and hopes to broaden the department’s role in these kinds of public events.
