America's WETLAND joins Bassmaster Classic
This year's CITCO Bassmaster Classic World Championship bass tournament will be held in the New Orleans Arena on July 31 - August 2, 2003.
The America's WETLAND program will hold a summit on Friday, August 1st, featuring Governor Mike Foster and University of Louisiana at Lafayette professor Dr. Robert Twilley speaking on "Keeping Our Sportsman's Paradise Alive!" On Saturday, August 2nd, Louisiana Department of Natural Resources Secretary Jack Caldwell will speak on the importance of coastal Louisiana to the nation and will give closing remarks.
The America's WETLAND Sports & Recreation Summit sponsored a field trip into the wetlands to give participants a firsthand view of coastal land loss.
