State Mineral and Energy Board announces results of December Lease Sale
Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale Wednesday, December 12, 2018 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.
The Board collected $764,605 in bonus revenue for the December lease sale. The current 2018-2019 total bonus payment is approximately $7.8 million. At this month’s lease sale, there were 13 leases covering 1,419 acres. The leases were located in Caddo, East Feliciana, Iberville, Jefferson, Plaquemines, St. Martin, Terrebonne and West Feliciana parishes.
The total bonus payments to the state for the previous fiscal year, 2017-2018, amounted to $4.6 million.
