State Mineral and Energy Board announces June Lease Sale Results
Baton Rouge---The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale Wednesday, June 13, 2018 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.
The Board collected $993,666 in bonus revenue for the June lease sale. The current FY 2017-18 total bonus payment amount is $4.6 million. At this month’s lease sale, there were 26 leases covering 3,080 acres. The leases were located in Avoyelles, Calcasieu, Evangeline, Iberville, Plaquemines, Rapides, St. Martin, and Tensas parishes.
According to the Board, the ending FY 2016-17 amount of bonus revenue was $1.9 million.
