La. Mineral and Energy Board announces April Lease Sale
Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale Wednesday, April 12, 2017 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.
The Board collected $30,393 in bonus revenue for the state in the April lease sale. The current FY 2016-17 total bonus payment amount is $1.7 million. At this month’s lease sale, there was one lease covering 135 acres. The lease was located in Terrebonne parish.
According to the Board, the total mineral bonus payments to the state for FY 2015-16 amounted to $5.5 million.
