February Mineral Lease Sale Results Posted
Baton Rouge -- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale Wednesday, February 14, 2018 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.
The Board collected $178,647 in bonus revenue for the February lease sale. The current FY 2017-18 total bonus payment amount is $2.9 million. At this month’s lease sale, there were four leases covering 579 acres. The leases were located in DeSoto, Lafourche, Natchitoches, and Terrebonne parishes.
According to the Board, the ending FY 2016-17 amount of bonus revenue was $1.9 million.
