Atchafalaya Basin Program springs to Napoleonville on May 2
Baton Rouge, - This year's spring tour of projects of the Atchafalaya Basin Program will take place on Thursday, May 2, 2002 at Lake Verret near Napoleonville, announced Atchafalaya Basin Program Director Sandra Thompson Decoteau.
Tour begins at 9:30 am at Attakapas Landing, south of Napoleonville on Hwy 401 at Lake Verret. Four Mile Bayou will also be visited and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will discuss the upcoming ecosystem restoration study on Lake Verret.
Decoteau noted that Assumption parish officials will help host the morning boat tour and lunch will also be provided for those in attendance.
Mark your calendar and plan to go by boat into one of the beautiful gateways of the Atchafalaya!
