State Mineral and Energy Board announces results of August Lease Sale
Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.
The Board collected $296,453 in bonus revenue for the August lease sale. The current 2026-2027 total bonus payment is approximately $523,622. At this month’s lease sale, there were eight leases covering 773 acres sold. The leases were located in Bossier, Caddo and DeSoto parishes.
The total bonus payments to the state for the previous fiscal year, 2025-2026, amounted to $4.3 million.
