State Mineral and Energy Board announces results of April Lease Sale
Baton Rouge- The Louisiana Mineral and Energy Board conducted its monthly meeting and lease sale on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 in the LaBelle Room of the LaSalle Office Building in Baton Rouge.
The Board collected $1.4 million in bonus revenue for the April lease sale. The current 2025-2026 total bonus payment is approximately $3.76 million. At this month’s lease sale, there were 11 leases covering 1,261 acres sold. The leases were located in Acadia, Caddo, Rapides, Sabine and Webster parishes.
The total bonus payments to the state for the previous fiscal year, 2024-2025, amounted to $7.7 million.
